In 1969, Well-Pict growers, set out to create a new and unique berry farming system, committed to growing top-quality produce and providing the highest level of customer service. "Well-Pict Berries" started with only 150 acres, shipping 500,000 flats of strawberries its first season. Not many by today's standards. But, with the dedication of their growers and the extra care that went into packing their berries, it didn't take long for customers to recognize the superior quality of Well-Pict products. In the years since, Well-Pict, Inc. has become a major grower in the produce industry, marketing a full line of premium-quality berries across the U.S. and around the world. Yet, despite the company's tremendous growth, Well-Pict still adheres to the same basic principles laid down back in the '60s.

Manzanita Berry Farms has been the exclusive Santa Maria strawberry producer for Well-Pict, Inc. since 1995. Through the years we have grown hundreds of acres of strawberries, originally packing most of them in the familiar green plastic baskets you find in stores. Today, nearly two-thirds of our fruit is packed into "consumer friendly" packages (like the clear 1 pound clamshells at the right) that have become more popular on shelves.

You can find Well-Pict berries in most major supermarkets from Dec through November. Manzanita produces berries from late March through August. To find specific locations selling our berries during the season, contact us and we will be glad to help you.
