I earned my bachelor's degree in 1980 from Cal Poly, Pomona, in Agricultural Biology
(entomology/pest management) and my Pest Control Advisor's license
in 1976. After 8 years working as a crop production consultant, I worked for several farming operations
raising strawberries and raspberries in Oxnard, Carpinteria, Santa Barbara,
Oceanside, and Santa Maria, California. In 1995, I was hired as General Manager of Manzanita Berry Farms
.
Diana's background is in personnel management and office systems
technology. She was instrumental in initiating our automated payroll system
(visit DataTrack ) and streamlining other administrative functions. But, the real
strength she brings to Manzanita Berry Farms is her unending commitment to
putting the interests of the Workers at the forefront of all of our operations.
At Manzanita, our hallmark is the production of fine quality fruit, in a safe and
enjoyable work environment where we take to heart the well being of our
personnel and the consumers of our fruit. We promote quality over quantity in
everything we do. To spend the time, money and energy we do raising
strawberries and not do our very best would be unthinkable. We take
seriously our commitment to providing a healthy product that is safe for our
workers and our customers. Please visit our Growing and Harvest pages to learn about what we and other California strawberry growers are doing to ensure the
production of a safe and wholesome product.
